Shop~ Narrowsburg Propper and narrowsburg Fine Wines and Spirits
Your 1st stop should be Narrowsburg Propper, run by my friend Joan, to stock up on all the “fancy” provisions that one could dream of. They carry gourmet ice cream, craft beer, fresh pasta, olives, cheese, cured meats, cute tote bags specialty gourmet items and more! My favorite items are the cherry chipotle salsa and their selection of sour beers in the back. For your more basic needs you can check out Petes Market, our local supermarket.
Just next door is Narrowsburg Fine Wine & Spirits run by Joans husband Ron with A carefully curated selection of fine wine and spirits. Ron is proud to offer personalized service, and feature wines and spirits from around the world – as well as local distilleries and wineries.

Forage~The Outside Institute
The Outside Institute was founded in 2017 in the Upper Delaware Valley to foster a greater connection to the Earth. By nurturing humanity's powers of observation and innate affinity for the wild, we hope to inspire joyful awareness and an essential reciprocity between all beings, regardless of species or race. Our year-round program includes guided nature walks, forest immersion, sustainable foraging education, wildcrafting workshops and botanical mixology. We often collaborate with experts in botany, herbalism, plant dyes, natural cosmetics and more.

Although we are still considered a “hidden gem” one that people rave about to all their friends once they discover this wild area of the Catskills, we also wanted to leave you with some reading material from some of our favorite magazines:
